HENRIK HANSEN
Born and raised on the coast of Denmark, Henrik Hansen has been directing commercials, music videos, and short films for the past 14 years. His passion for the creative world of storytelling through film stems from an initial interest in photography at a young age. After graduating from the Copenhagen Institute of Photography, Hansen assisted directors and cinematographers on the sets of commercials and feature films, where he learned to shape story and developed his own definitive style. Soon after embarking on his own career, he became one of the most successful directors in Europe and America, creating both print and television campaigns for leading brands worldwide, including Acura, American Express/Delta, Amtrak, Asics, AT&T, Blackberry, BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, Jaguar, Jeep, Lacoste, Lexus, Mercedes, Network Rail, Nikon, Nissan, Nokia, Skoda, Sundance Channel, and Toyota.
Hansen’s Honda spot “Safer Roads” won critical acclaim from both Adweek and Boards. His short film Shinya Kimura was featured at SXSW, the LA Film Festival, the Nevada City Film Festival, the DC Shorts Fest, and the NewFilmmakers Festival in 2011, and the Florida Film Festival and the New Hope Film Festival in 2012.
Hansen is currently based in both the United States and Europe. He is represented for commercials in the US, the UK, and Asia by RSA, and for features by Resolution.
